Compact Groceries, Collapsible Categories, and Smarter Adds
A grocery list that takes up less room on your phone, categories you can collapse, adjustable list width on desktop, and Smart Add that can pull a recipe straight from a link.

A grocery list that takes less space
On your phone, the list now starts in compact mode. Each item sits on one tight line, so you see more of the list and scroll less. You can switch back to rich mode any time from the layout toggle at the top of the list.
The whole list got a spacing pass on desktop and mobile too. Less padding, fewer gaps, more items on screen.
Categories you can collapse
Grocery categories are now collapsible. Tap a category header and that section folds away until you need it.
Layout controls found a home
The By Aisle / By Recipe switch used to sit in the list header. It now lives in List Settings, alongside the rest of the list options.
In the spot it left behind, the layout controls now sit directly on the page. You get the Rich / Compact toggle up top, without digging into settings. And on desktop, the list can run one, two, or three columns wide instead of just one. That's in List Settings too.
Spices get their own category
Spices is now a built-in category on grocery lists, so spices don't end up scattered under the pantry section.
Smart Add reads links
Smart Add can now take a recipe link. Paste a URL, and it reads the page and pulls out the recipe for you.
A word of caution: some websites block AI from accessing their pages. When a site does that, the link can't be parsed, and the attempt still counts against your AI usage. Smart Add shows a note about this right on the page before you run it, so you can decide whether it's worth it.
Give it a try
Open Groceries on your phone and feel the compact mode, collapse a category or two, then try a two-column list on desktop. And paste a recipe link into Smart Add to watch it read. If something feels off, email me at [email protected].
