A Meal Timeline for Your Day

Put every meal where it actually happens on a 24 hour timeline, give snacks a real time and their own reminders, and watch your home page fill in as the day goes.

Your meals, at your times

Meal times used to live in app settings, and they were rigid. Three meals, in a fixed order, with fixed boundaries between them. Snacks had no time at all.

Meal times now live on the meal plan itself, on a 24 hour timeline. Open it from the clock button on the meal plan page or from the Today section on your Cookbook home.

Drag a marker along the bar to move a meal. Tap a time to type it exactly, down to the minute. Two breakfasts and three snacks is a fine plan. So is a snack before breakfast.

Every plan carries its own timeline, so your times travel with the plan they belong to. A new plan starts from the times you are already using.

Snacks are real meals now

Snacks used to be an afterthought. They sat at the bottom of your home page with no time, and they never sent a reminder.

A snack now sits wherever you put it, in order with everything else, and it can remind you like any other meal. There is a Snack switch in your reminder settings alongside breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Prep time goes where you want it

Prep reminders used to fire at a fixed "evening ends" boundary. Now prep is a marker you place anywhere on the timeline.

Put it at 21:00 and you get reminded tonight about tomorrow's meals. Put it at 02:00 and you get reminded in the small hours about that same day's meals. Prep always points at the next block of meals coming up, whichever side of midnight you put it on.

A home page that follows the clock

The Today and Tomorrow sections were rebuilt around the timeline.

Every meal gets its own card, in the order it happens. Extra snacks used to hide behind a swipe, which made them easy to forget. Nothing hides now.

The rail down the side fills in as the day goes, starting before your first meal and continuing after your last, so there is always something to read at a glance. A meal is marked Now when you are within ten minutes of it, and counts down from half an hour out.

The greeting at the top now points at your next meal, whatever time it is. Late at night that means tomorrow's breakfast, not the dinner you already ate.

Notifications are opt in

Meal and prep reminders used to be switched on by default, so turning on delivery could start sending you things you never asked for.

Both are now off until you turn them on. If you had already set yours up, nothing changes. Your settings are kept exactly as they were.

One thing that moved

The Home Timeline page in settings is gone. Greetings and time of day wording now use fixed hours, and everything you used to set there lives on your plan's timeline instead.
