A New Front Page, and a Faster Lyfify
Lyfify's front page has been rebuilt to explain what Lyfify actually is and where your data lives. Long lists also scroll a lot better now, and tips follow your account instead of your browser.

A front page that explains Lyfify
The old front page was really a Cookbook page with Lyfify's name on it. That's the wrong way round. Cookbook is one app; Lyfify is the thing all the apps sit on.
The new page leads with that. It says what Lyfify is, shows the apps you can open, uses Cookbook as the worked example, and then lays out the parts that hold true everywhere: your content lives on your device and syncs when you sign in, one account covers every app, it installs and works offline, and there are no ads or tracking anywhere in it.
There's also a section that walks through where your data actually goes, rather than asking you to take the promise on faith.
Long lists scroll properly now
A grocery list with a couple of hundred items, or a recipe library that's grown past the point of scrolling casually, used to make the app feel heavy. Everything on the page tried to appear at once, and your phone had to do all of it before it would respond to you again.
Lists now build up in small pieces instead. The part you're looking at arrives first, the rest fills in behind it, and the app stays responsive the whole time. In practice you'll notice it most when opening a big grocery list or scrolling fast through recipes, and on the bottom bar, which used to stutter when a heavy page was still settling.
The animations throughout the app were also rebuilt on a lighter foundation. Same movement, less work for your device, which matters most on older phones.
Tips follow your account
Tips used to be remembered by your browser. Dismiss one on your laptop, and your phone would show it to you again like it was new.
They're tied to your account now. Dismiss a tip once and it stays dismissed everywhere you're signed in. There's also a new tip on the app switcher, for anyone who hadn't noticed you can jump between Lyfify apps from there.
Odds and ends
On mobile, tapping into a search or text field no longer leaves the back button floating over your keyboard.
The rest is a long list of small visual fixes plus a fairly big cleanup pass underneath, sorting out problems that hadn't caused visible trouble yet but were going to. Nothing to look at, but it means fewer surprises later.
Give it a try
